You place the Password you wish to use in the box provided, then hit the convert button. This takes the password and makes it into a code that you give to Trace Magus, along with your email, SWC handle, and compops skill level. The code makes it so only you will know your password, also when you go to sign in you will use your password, not the code you gave to Trace.
